The Messages management window

N.B: To access this window in Opera Job Management, this management is available in Series, Profiles, Accessories, Colors, in the Design Sheet on Typology data, and in the Structure Definition window.

Description of contents

This window allows you to configure all settings relating to the use of messages that can be displayed in the Design Sheet and, for some Types, also in Opera printouts.

Fields

• Type  : It is possible to specify the type of message to display:

• Error
• Warning
• Info
• Important
• Important info
• Notes
• Procedures
• Feedback
• Quality

• Description : this is the message that will be shown on screen.

• Condition  : this is the type of condition to be checked if the message should be displayed only in certain situations.

• None: By setting this item, the message will always be displayed.
• Interval: By setting this item, the message will be displayed only if the condition expressed in the Var, From, to fields is met (see below).
• Expression: By setting this item, the message will be displayed only if the condition expressed in the Expression field is met (see below).
• Optional/Interval: This field allows a series of messages sharing the same option to be managed and displayed only if the condition expressed in the Var, From, to fields is met.

Options

• Option  : The button associated with the field opens the link to the typology option selection; see the Typology options table chapter.
• STD : Enabling this field sets the option as the standard choice.
• Cond. : Does not require the option in the typology data and uses it only as a condition.

Interval

• Var  : Shows the name of the variable that must be considered.
• From, to : The value contained in these fields depends on the variable set in the Var field.
• Rounding : Allows you to define the rounding value to be applied to the selected variable.
• Type  : Defines the rounding type to be applied.

Expression

• Expression : Shows a series of conditions that can be structured not only with variables and options, but also with the symbols & (and) or | (or) to concatenate the verification of several variables.
