Section 1: Function buttons
- The
button starts the insertion of a new record.
- The
button deletes a record from the archive.
- The
button modifies the data of a record.

Section 2: master data
- Name
: name of the variable selected from the list. For the explanation of the variable abbreviations, see Appendix III: variables and symbols
- Desc.: description of the variable.
Section 3: variable configuration in printouts
- Show on window chart: if active, prints the variable value in the window chart.
- Show in diagrams: if active, prints the variable value in the typology diagrams.
- Export to XML file: if active, exports the variable to XML.
- Units of measurement
: field used to select the unit of measurement of the variable.
- Decimals
: field used to select the number of decimal places of the variable value in the printout.
- Print
: field used to define how the variable is printed. The value auto indicates that the setting is managed automatically by the program.
Section 4: variable settings
- Value: field used to define the variable value.
- Sash No.
: field used to link the variable to a sash number, when required by the configuration.
- Type
: field used to select the variable type, according to the proposed list.
- Optional: if active, indicates that the variable is optional.
- No data option: allows you to define the option to be used when no data is available.
- Chapter
: allows you to associate the variable with a chapter, when required.
- Position: allows you to define the position of the variable.
- Auto value: allows you to define an automatic value for the variable.
Section 5: table variable
- Table variable
: allows you to configure a variable based on a value table.
- From / to: fields used to define the value intervals.
- Value: field used to define the value to be assigned to each interval.
