Note N.B: To access this window in Opera Job Management: from the Settings menu, select the Production workers button.

The Workers archive allows you to manage company workers, their personal data, assigned tasks, operational authorizations, and program access settings.

In this archive it is possible to insert new workers, associate an image or avatar, define contact data, assign tasks, and configure any limitations or permissions related to the use of Opera Job Management.


Contents

Workers list

The left side of the window contains the list of registered production workers.

Each worker can be identified by:

  • worker name or code;
  • associated icon or avatar;
  • position in the list;
  • possible image displayed in the lower panel.

Selecting a name allows you to view and modify personal data, permissions, and assigned tasks.

Archive function buttons

The buttons on the toolbar allow you to manage the archive records:

  • : allows you to insert a new worker.
  • : allows you to delete the selected worker.
  • : allows you to modify the data of the selected worker.
  • : allows you to copy the data of an existing worker.
  • Image:tastostampa2.png: allows you to print the worker data or the badge, if the Barcode field is filled in.
  • File:TastofrecciaspostamentoSU.png: allows you to move the worker upward in the list.
  • File:TastofrecciaspostamentoGIU.png: allows you to move the worker downward in the list.
Note N.B: It is possible to order the workers list using the dedicated File:TastofrecciaspostamentoSU.png and File:TastofrecciaspostamentoGIU.png buttons. It is also possible to order them automatically by name by holding down the CTRL key on the keyboard and pressing one of the arrows.
Note N.B: To add, modify, or remove workers, a Password for modifying permissions must be enabled from the Setup password menu.


Main worker data

The main panel contains the worker identification and personal data.

  • Code: worker identification code. It is advisable to use a short and easily recognizable code.
  • Avatar Image:tastoc.png: allows you to associate an avatar with the worker.
  • Name: worker first and last name.
  • Desc.: description or descriptive note relating to the worker.
  • Hire date: worker start date.
  • Termination date: worker termination date, if applicable.
  • Phone #: worker phone number.
  • E-mail: worker e-mail address.
  • Code: possible additional code linked to the worker.
  • Barcode: code used to print the worker badge or for recognition by barcode.


Access and authentication data

The central section allows you to define any access data linked to the worker.

  • Password: allows you to set or manage the worker password.
  • OS user: allows you to indicate the operating system user associated with the worker.
  • Domain: allows you to indicate the user domain.

These data can be used to connect the worker to the access credentials or authorizations provided by the company configuration.

Permissions and limitations

The permissions section allows you to define which operations the user can or cannot perform within the program.

  • User permissions Image:tastoc.png: allows you to recall or associate an already configured permissions profile.
  • Disable configuration changes: prevents the worker from modifying configuration settings.
  • Disable path changes: prevents changes to the paths used by the program.
  • Lock archives: prevents the worker from modifying the data in the archives.
  • Hide prices: prevents prices from being displayed.
  • Can change prices: allows the worker to modify prices.
  • Lock price list revisions: prevents price list revisions from being modified.
  • Inventory only: limits the worker use to inventory functions.
  • Limit job transfers: limits job transfer operations.
  • Disable job log editing: prevents the job log from being modified.
  • Hide disabled records: hides disabled records.
  • Lock tipologies price: prevents typology prices from being modified.
  • Lock inventory editing: prevents manual changes in inventory management.
  • Job status management only: limits the worker to job status management only.
  • Work station only: limits the worker use to the configured workstation.
  • Does not use Opera JM: prevents the worker from using Opera Job Management.
Note N.B: These settings allow you to define precisely the user operating level and the program areas that can be accessed. Activation of these items is subject to the purchase of the Permission Management step.

The lower part of the window contains several rows dedicated to assigning tasks.

  • Task Image:tastoc.png: allows you to select a task to associate with the worker.
  • Selection button: opens the task selection window.
  • Multiple Task fields: allow you to assign multiple tasks to the same worker.

By pressing the Image:tastoc.png button, it is possible to select a task to assign to the worker. The same worker can be linked to multiple tasks, according to the activities carried out within the company.

After filling in the data and assigning the tasks, press the Image:tastoregistra.png button to confirm data insertion or modification.
