Variables for machining

  • Var. (Variable): the variable identification code is usually X.

When choosing the variable identification code, it is advisable to choose the character X for all machining operations. The reason for this choice is not only to simplify variable setting, but also to allow the display of the position of the machining operations applied to the typology to be enabled in the Design Sheet, using the File:tastol.png button, located among the buttons of the Show section in the Design Sheet.

As can be seen in the image on the side, the typology shows, on the sides affected by machining operations, several colored points indicating the exact position and type of machining operation. In the case shown above, green and yellow for the holes of the roller catch strikes and the cremone bolt, and red for the slots.

This display can also be shown in print, as shown in the example on the side.

Field selection
  • Desc. (Description): description of the variable.
  • Value File:tastomenutendina.png: pressing the button in the field opens a drop-down list with a series of choices relating to the fields to which the variable can be applied.
  • Text: this function tells the program that the variable of this machining operation is represented by text.
  • Unit of measurement File:tastomenutendina.png: this is the unit of measurement of the variable.
