The job profile management window

Contents

Note N.B: In this window, all the profiles of the job are entered and, for each one, it is possible to modify the quantity, length, optimization type, or assigned machine, without changing the archive data.

Section 1: action buttons

  • File:tastopiu.pngFile:tastomeno.pngFile:tastodiverso.pngFile:tastouguale.png: buttons for entering, deleting, modifying, and duplicating a record.
  • : Pressing this button allows you to print a document containing the profiles in this window.
  • The button allows you to export the contents of the current window to a spreadsheet-format document, such as Excel. More information about using this function can be found on the dedicated page.

Section 2: profile data

  • Name File:tastoc.png: this is the profile code.
  • Int. color File:tastoc.png: allows you to specify the internal color of the item.
  • Ext. color File:tastoc.png: allows you to specify the external color of the item.

Section 3: profile optimization settings

  • Optimization type File:tastomenutendina.png: this field opens a drop-down menu where it is possible to set the optimization type to apply to the profile. For the use of this field, see the Optimization parameters chapter.

Section 4: settings for increasing bars

  • Adding bars: allows you to enter the number of bars required to order additional material.
    • The entered value is added directly to the number of bars calculated by the program.
    • Example:
      • bars calculated by the program: 20
      • additional bars: 2
      • total bars ordered: 22
  • Increase bars: allows you to enter a percentage value to automatically increase the number of bars to be ordered.
    • The value must be entered without the % symbol.
    • The increase is applied to the requirement of the selected profile.
    • This function is useful for allowing for additional material due to offcuts, waste, or warehouse stock.
    • Example:
      • bars calculated by the program: 20
      • bar increase: 10
      • total bars ordered: 22
Note N.B: The effects of these changes will be visible in the bill of materials of the job in which the changes are being entered.
Note N.B: This function is different from the Increase bars found in the Optimization parameters window. In that case, the increase is applied using the settings defined in the Colors archive and may also affect the warehouse bill of materials. In the current window, however, the increase is applied only to the job and to the selected profile.

Section 5: modifying bar dimensions

  • Bar length: field that allows you to indicate a different bar length for the job.
  • Original: in this field, the program shows the data recorded in the archive.

Section 6: modifying the assigned saw machine

  • Saw machine File:tastomenutendina.png: from the associated menu, it is possible to select a cutting machine to assign to the profile.
  • Original: in this field, the program shows the cutting machine to which the profile is assigned.

Section 7: modifying the profile height

  • Height: field that allows you to modify the profile height.
  • Original: in this field, the program shows the data recorded in the archive.

Section 8: modifying the assigned welder machine

  • Welder machine File:tastomenutendina.png: from the associated menu, it is possible to select a welding machine to assign to the profile.
  • Original: in this field, the program shows the welding machine to which the profile is assigned.
