Subject Informazion
From Opera Wiki
In this window it is possible to modify the profile section data using the functions available in the subject management window.
The window allows you to define the subject references, its position in the node, the depth and the color of the drawing line, as well as the geometric data detected by the program and the profile example view.

Subject reference data
- Horizontal reference point: determines the horizontal support point of the subject on the profile guidelines in the node definition window.
- Vertical reference point: determines the vertical support point of the subject on the profile guidelines in the node definition window.
- Deep reference point: allows you to define the depth reference of the subject.
- Ref. name: allows you to enter a name for the reference point.
- Depth: in this field it is possible to enter a value to determine the depth of the line that outlines the image.
- Color
: pressing the button opens the color list, to determine the color of the line that outlines the section.
Display and positioning of the subject in the node
The subject section is displayed in the central panel. The dashed lines indicate the dimensional and positioning references used by the program to correctly place the profile in the node.
The values displayed in millimeters indicate the main dimensions of the subject, such as the height and depth of the section. Modifying the references allows the profile position to be adapted with respect to the node guidelines.
In the case shown, the profile is displayed with:
- horizontal reference set to
0 mm; - vertical reference set to
17.5 mm; - depth set to
1; - line color set to Black.
Display in the node of the glazing bead in the steel system
In the steel system, the display of the glazing bead in the node can be managed by using a reference point set to zero.
This setting allows the program to position the glazing bead consistently with respect to the components, allowing the glazing bead to move according to the items present, such as gaskets and panes.
In the example, the position of the glazing bead is determined by the sum of the configured components:
- External gasket: external gasket associated with the system.
- Pane: configured pane or glass element.
- Internal gasket: internal gasket associated with the system.
The reference point set to 0 therefore allows the glazing bead to remain attached to the node reference and to move automatically according to the calculated space.
This function is useful because, unlike aluminum and PVC systems where the glazing bead position is established by the hook present in the profile, steel systems do not have a predefined hook system.
Function buttons
-
: allows the subject to rotate clockwise on itself. The operator will use it if the image is incorrectly positioned with respect to the example.
- File:Tastoriflettix.png: reflects the image horizontally.
- File:Tastoriflettiy.png: reflects the image vertically.
- File:TastoRiferimento1.png: allows you to set the subject reference point by selecting it from the drawing.
- File:TastoRiferimento2.png: allows you to set the subject reference point using two reference points, vertical and horizontal, from the drawing.
- File:Tastoauto2.png: allows you to automatically regenerate and recalculate the subject data.
-
: allows you to apply or manage subject display filters.
- File:Tastoentitie.png: allows you to display the profile entities.
Profile Data section
The Profile Data section shows the values, expressed in millimeters, relating to the subject data detected by the program from the archive.
The fields present are:
- Height: indicates the overall height of the profile.
- Depth: indicates the depth of the section.
- Encumbrance: indicates the encumbrance value of the profile.
- Overlap: indicates the overlap value.
- Glass overlap: indicates the glass overlap value.
- Coupling: indicates the profile coupling value.
- Coplanarity: indicates the profile coplanarity value.
These values are used by the program for the correct geometric management of the section in the node.
Example section
The Example section graphically shows the correct profile reference point.
The red point highlighted in the image indicates the reference used by the program for positioning the subject inside the node. This view allows the operator to check whether the profile is correctly oriented and positioned according to the required configuration.
