Extra profile data
This documentation page describes the advanced functions and configuration parameters contained in the secondary "Extra profile data" window. This window allows you to refine geometric tolerances, manage head operations, define references to technical documentation, and set inventory rules for the selected profile.
1. Auxiliary dimensions and tolerances
Advanced geometric parameters used to compensate coupling calculations or to manage special construction nodes.
- Dimension reference: millimetric correction value for the dimension reference in the Design Sheet.
- Core overhang: dimension that expresses the difference linked to the profile tubular chamber, essential for corner-cleat machining calculations.
- Step Glass Offset: glass offset. Greater than zero for external glass, less than zero for internal glass.
- Ignore paint thickness: checkbox. If enabled, excludes the paint thickness from millimetric tolerance calculations.
- Invert colors in external installation: if enabled, inverts the colors in external installation.
- No floor accessories: if selected, excludes the calculation or association of components and accessories linked to the floor or ground fixing for this specific profile.
2. Head operation configuration (only on curtain wall profiles)
This section, currently not active in the image, contains the parameters for managing the head operation of the profile ends.
- Head angle: compound angle of the profiles that meet this profile.
- Head angle offset: angle correction value used to compensate any tolerances.
- Internal head depth / External head depth: parameters used to define the side or depth of the head machining.
- Do not apply head angle: checkbox used to disable the head operation for this profile, when it is performed with a profile that already has the angle.
3. Positioning
- Wall position: defines the position in relation to the wall. If set to
auto, the calculation is performed by Opera, when possible, during node creation. - Extend receiver: checkbox used to manage the extension or overlap on the receiver profile, for example aluminum-wood profiles cut at 90°/45°.
4. Documentation, printouts, and logistics
Fields dedicated to profile traceability, reporting, and connection with technical catalogs.
- Manual: connection fields used to associate the item with a specific user manual, which will be printed during regulatory printouts.
- Technical data sheet / Chapter: connection fields used to associate the profile with specific pages or sections of the paper or PDF catalog of the system supplier.
- Print with materials: option used to include or exclude this technical data sheet from the job material printouts.
- Brand name: free text field used to enter the commercial name available to the end customer.
- Serialized inventory: checkbox used to enable inventory management for this item.
- Inventory color rule: selection menu used to set storage criteria and color-code matching within the logistics module.
