Note N.B: To access this window in Opera Job Management: from the Options menu, select the Directories button and then File:tastobackup.png.

The File:tastomodificapercorsi.png button enables the fields in the window for setting the backup options.

Local backup copies

Local backup copies are saved in the BACKUP folder located inside the Opera folder, and the Local backup directory field is already filled in by the program. In the Type field, specify the backup system and, in the Retained copies field, set the maximum number of copies to keep.

It is possible to indicate when to run backup copies using the Scheduled execution field File:tastomenutendina.png (None, Startup, On exit, On startup and on exit) and choose the Frequency in days or select the days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.) on which to run the copy.

External backup copies

External backup copies are saved on an external support if the path has been specified in the Local backup directory field. In the Type field, specify the backup system and, in the Retained copies field, set the maximum number of copies to keep.

It is possible to indicate when to run backup copies using the Scheduled execution field File:tastomenutendina.png (None, At startup, On exit, At startup and on exit) and choose the Frequency in days or select the days of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc.) on which to run the copy.

For external backup copies, it is possible to choose to make a local copy by enabling the Replicate in local copies field.

Cloud backup copies

Note N.B: To use cloud backup, request the parameters from the Opera Company technicians.

Cloud backup copies are saved in the repository located at the web address indicated in the Cloud repository field. In the Type field File:tastomenutendina.png, specify the backup system (Subversion or Restic).

Note NOTE:
Subversion is a system that keeps the different versions of files and allows previous changes to be recovered. Restic is a backup system that saves and protects copies of data so that they can be restored in case of loss.

The Accept unverified SSL certificates field, if enabled, also accepts unverified certificates.

In the Remote folder field, the name of the folder where the backup is to be stored will be indicated. In the Username and Password fields, the user name and password will be entered.

For cloud copies as well, it is possible to set when to run the backup copy by choosing the type in the Scheduled execution field.
