The profile machining window
Note N.B: To access this window in Opera Job Management: from the Archives menu, select the Profiles button and, in the next window, press the Image:tastolavorazioni.png button.

This window is used to assign costs and bending machinings. The contents of the window are described below:

  • File:tastopiuarchivio.png: this button opens the Profile selection window, where it is possible to select a profile and, after confirming the choice, copy the machinings to another profile.
  • Name File:tastoc.png: opens the Select machinings window, where it is possible to select the bending machining, whose name is shown in this field.
  • Desc: describes the selected bending machining.
  • Notes: allows you to enter notes relating to the machining.
  • Cost: this is the cost relating to the bending machining. If the auto configuration is kept, the program calculates the bending cost according to the labour values set in the Company parameters; otherwise, the operator can indicate a specific value.
  • Autom File:frecciagiu.png: allows you to choose the type of automatic mode and automatically calculate the machining cost.

Selecting the item relating to the chosen machining is essential for calculating its cost. For full arch bending, the automatic mode is Full arch; for lowered arch, the automatic mode is Lowered arch.

Automatic mode type selection menu.
Profile component type selection menu

  • Angle File:tastomenutendina.png: enabled when Joint is entered as automatic mode and allows you to choose the angle for it.
  • Profile File:tastoc.png: opens the Profile selection window and is enabled with the following automatic modes: Joint, Cross, Receiver.
  • Profile keyword: allows you to enter the profile search keyword, when required by the selected automatic mode.
  • Offset: this field determines an offset of the dimensions in the machinings.
  • Cond. File:tastomenutendina.png: this field has an associated button that opens a large list of variables, which indicate to the program, for example, on which side of the typology the machining must be applied, the profile dimension, and it is also possible to set a range of typology dimensions within which the machining must be applied.
  • Position File:tastomenutendina.png: determines the machining position in the profile.

Left = on the left of the profile / None = central machinings / Right = on the right of the profile.

  • Flip machining: if enabled, reverses the machining.
  • From the right: the machining position is taken from the right, compensating for any cutting errors.
  • Profile component type File:tastomenutendina.png: in the case of a compound profile, this function allows you to determine on which component the machining must be applied. For example, this may be used for aluminum-wood profiles made up of an internal component and an external component.
  • L/R/A1/A2: these fields contain the variables relating to the arc length, curvature radius, left angle, and right angle.
