Description of contents
Profile
This field is connected to the Profiles archive, from which the operator selects the profile to be matched to the machining operation.
Workcenter
If several workcenters are used, it is necessary to select, from the list opened by the associated button, the name of the workcenter to which the profile is sent for machining.
Operation
This field must contain the operation code referring to the machining operation. Usually, it is the code of the machining operation itself.
Clamping
Each profile can have machining operations on different faces. This implies a different clamping according to the machining operation. In the Workcenter dictionary, described later in this guide, the profile position on the clamp is defined. Through the button associated with this field, the operator loads the clamping type relating to the machining operation.
X
Later in these pages we will see how to create the dimension on the X axis of the machining operation. However, in this field it is possible to set a different formula for a specific operation on the selected profile.
For each operation it is possible to load an icon. It will be displayed in the machining control windows in the Machining sheet.
In Opera, image loading and management are the same for all archives, namely Profiles, Accessories, and Machining operations; for this reason, see the profile sectional drawing paragraph of this Manual.
This button opens the Machining macros setup window, where the operation is drawn by reproducing the action of the machine:
Description of contents
Look at the following image:
As you can see, the typology consists of two sashes separated by a vertical mullion. On the vertical mullion, the same machining operation must be performed on both sides, left and right, as shown in the typology by the machining operations highlighted inside the circles indicated by the arrows. In order to send the instruction to the workcenter, so that it correctly performs the same machining operation on both sides, it is necessary to define a code for the machining operation on the alternate face of the profile.
The window opened by the fields is very similar to the window opened by the previous function, where it is necessary to code and design the machining operation for the workcenter.
