The Machining Operations archive
Note N.B: This window is opened by pressing the File:tastioperazione.png button in the Machinings archive.

The Machining Operations window allows you to associate the selected machining operation with one or more profiles, indicating the workcenter, operation code, clamping, and any specific parameters to be used for performing the machining operation.

Contents

Search filters

The upper part of the window contains the search fields that allow you to filter the list of profiles associated with the machining operation.

  • Profile File:tastoc.png: allows you to select a profile from the Profiles archive and display the matches referring to the selected profile.
  • Workcenter File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to filter the matches according to the selected workcenter.

Function buttons

The buttons in the central part of the window allow you to manage the matches between machining operation and profile.

  • File:tastopiu.png Insert: allows you to insert a new profile to associate with the machining operation.
  • File:tastomeno.png Delete: allows you to delete the selected match.
  • File:tastodiverso.png Modify: allows you to modify the data of the selected match.
  • File:tastouguale.png Copy: allows you to copy the data of the selected match.
  • Table: allows you to display or manage the data in table form.

Main operation data

The right side of the window contains the main fields of the operation associated with the profile.

  • Profile File:tastoc.png: allows you to select the profile to associate with the machining operation. The field is connected to the Profiles archive, from which the operator selects the profile to use.
  • Workcenter File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to select the workcenter to which the profile must be sent for performing the machining operation.
  • Operation File:tastoc.png: allows you to indicate the operation code referring to the machining operation. Usually, the code of the machining operation itself is entered.
  • Disabled: if enabled, disables the match between the operation and the profile.

Classification data

This section contains the data used to link the operation to a specific system, series, or keyword configuration.

  • System File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to indicate the system to which the operation refers.
  • Series File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to indicate the series to which the operation refers. The field may be greyed out when it is not available for the selected configuration.
  • Keyword: allows you to enter a search or connection keyword for the operation.

Clamping and color

This section contains the data relating to clamping and color management.

  • Clamping File:tastoc.png: allows you to indicate the clamping type relating to the machining operation. Each profile can have machining operations on different faces; for this reason, it may be necessary to set a different clamping according to the machining operation. In the workcenter dictionary, the position of the profile on the clamp is defined.
  • Differ by color: if enabled, allows the operation to be differentiated according to the color.
  • Finish File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to indicate the finish to be used for differentiating the machining operation. The field may be greyed out when color differentiation is not active.
  • Int. col. File:tastoc.png: allows you to indicate the internal color to be used for the machining operation. The field may be greyed out when color management is not enabled.
  • Ext. col. File:tastoc.png: allows you to indicate the external color to be used for the machining operation. The field may be greyed out when color management is not enabled.

Machining position

  • X: allows you to set a specific formula for the machining dimension on the X axis. The auto value indicates that the position is calculated automatically by the program.
  • Destination point File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to indicate the destination point of the machining operation. The auto value indicates that the reference is managed automatically by the program.

Profile preview

The lower-right part of the window shows the preview of the profile section.

The preview allows you to graphically check the selected profile and the machining operation position in relation to the section. The highlighted lines allow you to check the reference used for applying the operation.

Bottom buttons

The lower part of the window contains the buttons linked to the graphic and technical management of the operation.

  • File:tastoiconaoperazioni.png Icon: allows you to load an icon for the operation. The icon is displayed in the machining control windows in the machining sheet. Image management follows the same logic used in the other archives; for further information, see the profile sectional drawing paragraph.
  • File:tastocam2.png CAM: opens the Machining macros setup window, where the operation macro is drawn by reproducing the machine action.
  • File:tastooperazione.png Operation: opens the Operations setup window, where the operation indicated by the workcenter is shown.

Operation on alternate face

The Machining Operations archive
Note N.B: This window is opened by pressing the File:tastioperazione2.png button in the Machinings archive.

The window opened by the File:tastioperazione2.png button is similar to the machining operation window, but it is used to code the machining operation to be performed on the alternate face of the profile.

This management is required when the same profile must receive the same machining operation on different sides.

Look at the following image:

In the example, the typology consists of two sashes separated by a vertical mullion. The same machining operation must be performed on both sides of the vertical mullion, left and right, as indicated by the machining operations highlighted inside the circles.

To correctly transmit the information to the workcenter, it is necessary to define a specific code for the machining operation on the alternate face of the profile.

The window therefore allows you to code and design the machining operation so that the workcenter can correctly perform it on the opposite side of the profile as well.
