Below is a description of the main fields in this window:
+
BR
-
*Finish: Indicates the type of finish to which the price refers. Finish means the aluminum coloring technique. If the series prices are based on finish without color distinction (e.g. Raw, Anodized, Electrocolored, etc.), then the price must be assigned “by finish”: choose the finish from the list and enter the price in the Price field. Conversely, if prices vary by color while being produced with the same finish (e.g. White paint, Red paint, Green paint, Silver anodized, Bronze anodized, etc.), leave the Finish field empty and assign the price “by coloring”: then use the Col. int./Col. ext. fields to select the color from the list and enter the price in the Price field.
+
-
Col. int. and Col. ext. (Internal and external coloring): Indicate the color to which the price refers.
+
Function buttons
-
Price type: Indicates the unit of measurement on which the price is based. Eight types are explained below:
+
-
:series price: the profile adopts the price of the series it belongs to.
+
-
:finished weight: the profile is purchased by weight, including finish.
+
-
:raw weight: the profile is purchased by weight, raw.
+
-
:finished length: the profile is purchased by length, including finish.
+
-
:raw length: the profile is purchased by length, raw.
+
-
:per m²: the profile is purchased per square meter.
+
-
:per piece: the profile is purchased in bars.
+
-
:component price: the final price of the profile is the sum of the prices of each of its components (only applies to composite profiles).
+
-
:per m³: the profile is purchased per cubic meter.
+
-
:*raw per piece: the profile is purchased per cubic meter.
+
-
*From, to: Minimum and maximum purchase quantity corresponding to the indicated price. This allows managing cases where the supplier grants better pricing as quantity increases. During order management, the program will automatically choose the best price based on the required quantity, but only if the button is activated.
+
The buttons in the side toolbar allow you to manage the profile prices:
-
*Supplier: The supplier from whom you purchase the material at the indicated price. You can thus associate different suppliers with different rates. In the Order Material panel, you can select the desired supplier, which will also adjust the purchase price.
+
* : allows you to insert a new price.
 +
* : allows you to delete the selected price.
 +
* : allows you to modify the data of the selected price.
 +
* : allows you to copy the selected price.
 +
* : allows you to set or manage the default price.
 +
* : allows you to display or manage the data in table form.
-
*Delivery time: The typical time the supplier needs to deliver the ordered material.
+
BR
-
*Finish only: Indicates that the mentioned price corresponds only to the specified finish. To obtain the final purchase price, the raw price must also be specified. Thus, when calculating the profile cost, the program adds the raw price and the finish price. This method is practical because any future variation will only require modifying the raw price.
+
-
*Code: Code assigned to the profile according to the color defined in the Col. int. and Col. ext. fields; the profile code will be replaced by the one entered here. Some suppliers redefine the code with each color or price change. For example, for profile M999, you could have W700999 for white, W800999 for red, W900999 for green, etc.
+
Finish and colors
-
*Suffix: The text entered in the Code field will be added to the actual accessory code without replacing it. Some suppliers add a suffix to indicate the color: if “700” means white, “800” red, “900” green, then M999700 will be M999 in white, M999800 in red, M999900 in green, etc.
+
* Finish : shows the type of finish to which the price refers. The term finish means the technique used to color the aluminum. If the series prices are based on the finish, without color distinction, for example Painting, Anodizing, Electrocoloring, etc., then the price must be assigned “by finish”; therefore, the finish must be selected from the list and the price must be entered in the Price field.
-
*Finish only: If this box is checked, the program will only consider the finish price of the profile.
+
If, instead, prices vary according to color, even though they are produced with the same finish, for example White painting, Red painting, Green painting, Silver anodizing, Bronze anodizing, etc., then the Finish field must be left empty and the price must be assigned “by color. In this case, use the Int. col. and Ext. col. fields, choose the color from the list, and enter the price in the Price field.
-
*Bar length (Length of bar): The program will use the different bar lengths provided by the production line and configured in the program.
+
-
*Min. waste: The program calculates the portion of the bar considered waste, varying by profile finish.
+
-
*Qty per package: Indicates the number of accessories contained in one package.
+
-
*Margin class: Allows associating a different margin percentage to various production costs. For usage, see the section margin classes.
+
-
*Price #1 to #8: Purchase prices excluding taxes (VAT or others).
+
-
*% Discount: Possible discount percentage granted by the supplier.
+
-
*Series: Price possibly assigned to the entire series.
+
-
*As of: Date of the last price update.
+
-
In the Colorings section, the colorings associated with the profile appear, filtered by Finish.
+
* Int. col. : shows the internal color to which the price refers.
 +
* Ext. col. : shows the external color to which the price refers.

 +
The following types are considered:
 +

 +
:* price series: the profile will use the price of the series to which it belongs.
 +
:* per weight finished: the profile is purchased by weight, already complete with the finish.
 +
:* per raw weight: the profile is purchased by weight, but raw.
 +
:* per length finished: the profile is purchased by length, already complete with the finish.
 +
:* per raw length: the profile is purchased by length, but raw.
 +
:* per m²: the profile is purchased per m².
 +
:* per piece: the profile is purchased in bars.
 +
:* components price: the final profile price will be the sum of the prices assigned to each of its components. This is meaningful only for compound profiles.
 +
:* per m³: the profile is purchased per m³.
 +

 +
* From: indicates the minimum purchase quantity based on the indicated price.
 +
* to: indicates the maximum purchase quantity based on the indicated price.
 +

 +
The From and to fields allow you to manage the case in which the supplier offers a better price as the purchase quantity increases. During job management, the program will automatically choose the best price according to the quantity required for production, but only if the button is active.

The profile prices window
Note N.B: To access this window in Opera Job Management: from the Archives menu, select the Profiles button and, in the following window, press the Image:tastoprezzi.png button.

Note NOTE:
If the price series item is active in the Systems archive, it will not be possible to modify prices from the Profiles archive. In the case of purchase by kg, the price of a profile normally depends on the price of the series to which it belongs; therefore, as a rule, no price is assigned to the profile, but to the series it belongs to.

The Prices - profile window allows you to enter and manage the profile purchase prices according to finish, internal and external color, supplier, bar length, purchase quantity, and currency.

The left side of the window lists the prices already configured for the profile. The right side contains the data of the selected price, while the side section Colors shows the colors matched to the profile.

Contents

Function buttons

The buttons in the side toolbar allow you to manage the profile prices:

 • File:+.png: allows you to insert a new price.
 • File:-.png: allows you to delete the selected price.
 • File:modifica.png: allows you to modify the data of the selected price.
 • File:=.png: allows you to copy the selected price.
 • File:tastopredefinito.png: allows you to set or manage the default price.
 • File:tastoexcel.png: allows you to display or manage the data in table form.

Finish and colors

 • Finish File:tastomenutendina.png: shows the type of finish to which the price refers. The term finish means the technique used to color the aluminum. If the series prices are based on the finish, without color distinction, for example Painting, Anodizing, Electrocoloring, etc., then the price must be assigned “by finish”; therefore, the finish must be selected from the list and the price must be entered in the Price field.

If, instead, prices vary according to color, even though they are produced with the same finish, for example White painting, Red painting, Green painting, Silver anodizing, Bronze anodizing, etc., then the Finish field must be left empty and the price must be assigned “by color”. In this case, use the Int. col. and Ext. col. fields, choose the color from the list, and enter the price in the Price field.

 • Int. col. File:tastoc.png: shows the internal color to which the price refers.
 • Ext. col. File:tastoc.png: shows the external color to which the price refers.

Price type and quantity

 • Price type File:tastomenutendina.png: shows the unit of measurement on which the price is based.

The following types are considered:

 • price series: the profile will use the price of the series to which it belongs.
 • per weight finished: the profile is purchased by weight, already complete with the finish.
 • per raw weight: the profile is purchased by weight, but raw.
 • per length finished: the profile is purchased by length, already complete with the finish.
 • per raw length: the profile is purchased by length, but raw.
 • per m²: the profile is purchased per m².
 • per piece: the profile is purchased in bars.
 • components price: the final profile price will be the sum of the prices assigned to each of its components. This is meaningful only for compound profiles.
 • per m³: the profile is purchased per m³.
 • From: indicates the minimum purchase quantity based on the indicated price.
 • to: indicates the maximum purchase quantity based on the indicated price.

The From and to fields allow you to manage the case in which the supplier offers a better price as the purchase quantity increases. During job management, the program will automatically choose the best price according to the quantity required for production, but only if the File:tastosconti.png button is active.

Supplier and delivery

 • Supplier File:tastoc.png: indicates the supplier from whom the material is purchased at the indicated price. This allows different suppliers with different purchase prices to be assigned. During job management, in the Job material window, it will be possible to choose the preferred supplier, thus also changing the purchase price.
 • Delivery: indicates the time normally required by the supplier to deliver the ordered material.

Codes and item identification

 • Code: this is the code assigned to the profile according to the color set in the Int. col. and Ext. col. fields. The profile code will be replaced with the one entered in this field.

Some manufacturers redefine the code every time the profile changes color or price. For example, considering profile M999, the code could be W700999 if the profile is white, W800999 if it is red, W900999 if it is green, and so on.

 • Suffix: indicates that the text described in the Code field will be added to the real profile code, without replacing it.

Some manufacturers often add an additional code, that is, a suffix, after the actual code in order to define its color. Assuming that code 700 indicates white, 800 red, 900 green, profile M999 in white will be M999700, in red M999800, in green M999900, and so on.

 • Supplier ID: allows you to indicate the code assigned by the supplier to the profile. The auto value indicates that the code is managed automatically by the program.
 • SKU: allows you to indicate the item SKU code.
Note N.B: The SKU code (Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique alphanumeric identifier used to track products in the warehouse. These are internal codes used to manage inventory, monitor stock, and speed up shipments.
 • Barcode: allows you to indicate the barcode linked to the profile.

Bar and package parameters

 • Finish only: tells the program that the entered price refers only to the specified finish. It is therefore not the finished price. To obtain the finished purchase price, the raw price must also be specified. In this way, during job management, when calculating the profile cost, the program will add the raw price to the finish price. Assigning prices in this way is convenient because, when they need to be changed, it will be sufficient to modify only the raw price.
 • Bar length: the program will use the different bar lengths supplied by the extrusion plant and set in the program.
 • Min. offcut: the program calculates the discarded part of the bar, which may vary depending on the profile finish.
 • Min. offcut for offcuts: indicates the minimum offcut to be considered for offcuts.
 • Pack quantity: indicates the quantity of profiles or pieces contained in a package.
 • Activate package at: allows you to indicate the quantity or condition from which package management is activated.
 • Margin rate File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to associate a different margin percentage with the different production costs. For the use of this function, see the guide relating to margin rates.
 • Standard: if enabled, indicates that the price or configuration is to be considered standard.
 • Price series File:tastomenutendina.png: allows you to indicate the possible linked price series.

Price, discount, and date

 • Currency: indicates the currency used for the price. In the example, the EURO currency is indicated.
 • Import filter File:tastoc.png: allows you to indicate a possible import filter linked to the price.
 • Price: this is the purchase price excluding taxes, VAT, or other charges.
 • per: indicates the unit of measurement to which the price refers.
 • %: indicates any discount percentage granted by the supplier.
 • Notes: field used to enter notes relating to the price.
 • Date: indicates the date of the last price update.
