Section 2: Price management
The term finish means the technique used to color the aluminum. If the series prices are based on the finish, without any distinction by color, for example Painted, Coating, Metallic, etc., the price must be set by selecting the desired item from the drop-down menu. If, instead, prices vary according to the color, even though they are produced with the same finish, for example White painted, Red painted, Silver coating, Bronze coating, etc., the Finish field must be left blank and the price must be set by color. In this case, use the Int. col. and Ext. col. fields to set the actual color.
- From, to: these are respectively the minimum and maximum purchase quantities, based on the quantity of material purchased.
This means that it is possible to manage the case in which the supplier offers a better price as the purchase quantity increases. During job management, the program will automatically choose the best price according to the quantity required for job production, but only if the
button is active.
This allows you to assign different suppliers with different purchase prices. Then, during job management, in the Job materials window, you can choose the preferred supplier, thereby also changing the purchase price.
- Delivery: this is the time normally required by the supplier to deliver the ordered material.
- Code: this is the code assumed by the profile according to the color set in the previous Int. col. and Ext. col. fields; the profile code will be replaced by the one shown in this field.
Some manufacturers redefine the code every time the profile changes color or price. For example, considering profile M999, if the code changes according to the color, there could be code W700999 if the accessory is white, W800999 if it is red, W900999 if it is green, and so on.
- Finish only: tells the program that the price indicated below is the price of the specified finish.
It is therefore not the finished price. To obtain the finished purchase price, the raw material price must also be specified. In this way, during job management, when calculating the profile cost, the program adds the raw material price to the finish price. Assigning prices in this way is also convenient because, when they need to be changed, it will be sufficient to change only the raw material price.
- Margin rate
: allows you to associate a different margin percentage with the different production costs.
- Currency: shows the currency used for the prices.
- Pr #1, Pr #2, Pr #3, Pr #4, Pr #5, Pr #6, Pr #7, Pr #8: indicate the purchase prices per kg, excluding taxes (VAT or other).
- %: indicates any discount percentage granted by the supplier for the corresponding price.
- Notes: allows you to enter notes relating to the corresponding price.
- Date: indicates the date relating to the corresponding price.
- Colors: shows the colors associated with the selected price.
- The
Archive button opens the Colors archive.
