Entering a typology
- To insert a new type to the list, press the
button .
- Pressing the File:Keymanagement.png button will allow you to choose whether to create a new type, or to import an existing one from the Types Archive and insert it into the List Archive
Designing a new type to be inserted into the list is done in the same way as designing a normal type, so refer to the Types Archive chapter. When a typology is imported into the list, all its parameters are inherited, such as Name, System, Series, Size Limits, Accessories, and Structure Information.
The Types Archive and the List Types Archive are independent of each other. Once you import a type into the list, you can edit it at will without losing the original data in the Types Archive
Typology parameters
After entering the type within the list, its parameters must be set. The generic data that can be changed are Name, System, Series, Category and Description. As for the Group field, which is of paramount importance for quick list generation, its use will be explained in the chapter on creating a List Review. Next, it is necessary to specify whether the product you have just entered includes a price from the grid or not: in the latter case, it is necessary to enable Do not calculate price grid.
Product with grid
If the type involves a grid instead, it is necessary to provide the program with the details, filling in the fields Width from, Width to, Height from, and Height to. For both width and height it is necessary to specify the Step.
On the other hand, the fields Width min, Width max, Height min, Height max represent the dimensional limits of the type. These values are set to auto as the default value, but can be changed as desired. The use of these fields allows the management of outsize for the type.
Below we see a practical example of how to use the parameters just reviewed
Suppose we have a typology with a grid ranging from 600 mm to 1000 mm for width and 600 mm to 1700 mm for height with a 100 mm pitch. If we also wanted to manage the outsize for widths from 400 mm to 1400 mm and heights from 500 mm up to 2000 mm, the fields would have to be set as in the following figure
The fields Calculate square fills, Calculate transmittance enable the respective calculations during the generation of list prices for the type. This will provide additional information at the quotation stage, being able to print both the values of the thermal and the dimensions of the mirroring.
Product without grid
For a list product that does not have a grid, the price can be specified in a number of ways that will be discussed in more detail later when the Price Chart is examined.
For example, types such as mosquito nets with a price per m², armored doors with a price per piece, Job Order Material such as row covers, or even list options such as installation, transport and disposal fall into this category.
The operation of Publish on the Web will be covered later in the chapter related to online publication of price lists.
